At Highfield St Matthew's, we have worship and refection spaces in class, outside prayer spaces and a whole school refection spaces. 

Outside Prayer Spaces

Our Worship and Spiritual Ambassadors were excited to design and create 'Outside Prayer Spaces' which the children can use at playtime and lunchtime. They came up with the idea to ensure that children have the time and space to reflect and play during their time outside. Each zone has a Prayer Space box which contains the prayer activities. The children are responsible for leading the activities and  include an interactive activity and a written activity, children can choose to write a reflection, poem or drawing in the prayer space book. 

Our Class Refection Areas

Our class reflection areas are calm, cosy and inviting and enable the children to 'pause' and have a moment to reflect. Our Worship and Spiritual Ambassadors decided it would be nice for children's awards and achievements to also be proudly displayed in this space. 

Our 'Letters to God' Post Box

Our very own post box proudly stands at the most central point in school and holds our school's 'Letters to God.'  Children, staff, parents and Governors are invited to post a reflection, prayer, poem or picture into the post box. Each week during Friday celebration, we read and share a letter to the whole school and we proudly celebrate it on the weekly newsletter that week.
