Reception are taught in two classes by Miss Canning (Ash)  and Mrs Saunders (Oak)

PE Kit is White T-Shirt (plus Dark Blue/Black Tracksuit Top/Sweatshirt for winter months), Navy Blue Shorts (or Dark Blue/Black Tracksuit Bottoms for winter months) and Black Pumps.  Children come into school in their PE uniform on their assigned PE day. 

Children in Reception access outdoor learning every day, so it is essential that children come to school wearing a warm, rainproof coat.

Reading is a very important aspect of learning not just in the Early Years Foundation Stage, but right throughout the children's school journey.  All children will have the opportunity to choose a book to take home each week and we actively encourage you to read with your child each night. Children should have their book bag in school every day. 

Reception children take part in daily Read Write Inc lessons each day to support their phonetic knowledge and reading development.
